Video Games? Immature?? How??!

So I was eating something with my friend sitting next to me talking to his boy-toy, and he suddenly asked in a very sarcastic way "oh so you're playing video games?", and my ear twitched to the sound of these words since it meant that he had a problem with video games. I asked him if he didn't like video games and then the bitch tells me that video games are for immature straight boys! how absured is that?? and then he went on calling me immature because I play them and that I should be ashamed of myself for confessing that in public. I felt right there that our friendship took a slight turn. No one has ever, ever been able to criticize me or stop me from playing video games, and I wasn't ganna let this guy change my mind. I asked him how in the world were video games immature, and then he gave me the old "because.." without giving me any solid reason why its immature. The only thing he was able to pull out was that he didn't like them and that they were for little kids. He went on about how I'm supposed to be intelligent and how I was suppose to go beyond that level of "immaturity", and to cut things short, he just looked at me with a very disgusted face. He can not understand that video games are for fun, and that games in general have been around for decades.

I can simply express my reasons why I think smoking weed and going out with married men is immature, but let me not go there.

Haha don't let him get to you. He seems too dumb anyway. If he doesn't have a reason, it means that he just wanted to make you feel bad. So don't let him get to you. Its what he wants.

2012 Woes

2012 ended with a bang! and by that I mean it ended with an endless popping of fireworks everywhere. Can't say much has changed since then. I feel that all my hopes and dreams have been put to a halt because life just wants to be interesting like that. Before the closing of 2012, a customer of mine who is a Flight Attendant for AA informed me that they were finally hiring, and that they were hiring at least 500 people for In-Flight services. I for once felt that this was the best news I've heard in a long time and I was overcome with hope for the future, my future. A Flight Attending position that pays $20 per hr? Yes please!
