Update On My Life

Its been a while since i have written anything here, I've been through a lot lately and I think that perhaps I should come back to vent. Maybe I'll come back to write a little more on here. Lets see! For now let me just list some of the things that have happened. For starters, I finally found my spiritual house (Ile) where I am now initiated in. I am now Omo Obatala, and pretty soon I'm getting my warriors (guerreros). This year started like a drop of an Atom Bombb. My stepfather worsened from his cancer and thus leaving him once again bed-bound until he was sent to the hospital and became hospitalized for 2 and a half weeks. On the 18 of March he was sent home because there was nothing else the doctors could do and at 9:30pm that same night, God took him from this world. The funeral was one of the most difficult things I've ever experienced since I have never in my life been through such a thing, I had to stop my mom from throwing herself towards the coffin as they were placing it inside the wall of the Mausoleum. It was difficult. Now I'm back to work and we're picking up the pieces one by one, my goal is to help my mom now with as much as I can. She needs me now.

10 years later

 What can I say? it's been 10 years since my last blog, a lot has happened since then. There's so much that I want to say but it won't all fit in this post so I'll just talk about the most important things that have happened to me since 2012.  2013: This was my very last year in Miami, I had just finished up my second semester in FIU and I was needing to find a place of my own since my mom was losing her house. Video Games? Immature?? How??!

So I was eating something with my friend sitting next to me talking to his boy-toy, and he suddenly asked in a very sarcastic way "oh so you're playing video games?", and my ear twitched to the sound of these words since it meant that he had a problem with video games. I asked him if he didn't like video games and then the bitch tells me that video games are for immature straight boys! how absured is that?? and then he went on calling me immature because I play them and that I should be ashamed of myself for confessing that in public. I felt right there that our friendship took a slight turn. No one has ever, ever been able to criticize me or stop me from playing video games, and I wasn't ganna let this guy change my mind. 2012 Woes

2012 ended with a bang! and by that I mean it ended with an endless popping of fireworks everywhere. Can't say much has changed since then. I feel that all my hopes and dreams have been put to a halt because life just wants to be interesting like that. Before the closing of 2012, a customer of mine who is a Flight Attendant for AA informed me that they were finally hiring, and that they were hiring at least 500 people for In-Flight services. I for once felt that this was the best news I've heard in a long time and I was overcome with hope for the future, my future. A Flight Attending position that pays $20 per hr? Yes please! I'll be doing what I love which is traveling and earning good money, and most likely be transferred to another city as home base.
